I just wanted to share my Salad dressing Recipe with you… it is so simple! and everyone is always asking me what is in it!
Like I said before I follow the High carb low Fat HCLF lifestyle and also the Raw till 4… so I do not use oil or salt in anything… that kind of limited my options as far as salad dressings went 😦 so I started experimenting with other flavors, I tried Oranges, mangos… but they never satisfied my craving for that sweet and sour salty taste! ugh….
Finally I started using just plain lemon juice! and while it was good… I was still not satisfied….
I had found a few dishes that used DATES to add to sweetness to the mix and It clicked!
so for this Recipe you will need
1. 2-3 Lemons
2. One Date
3. A blender ( I use my NutriBullet)
– Cut the lemons and make sure you take out the seeds… I use my hand juicer for this…
– Take the Pit out of the date and put it in the Blender.
Blent it all up together ( make sure to take the seeds out of the lemon!) and there you have it.. a sweet and sour and thick salad dressing 🙂
You can adjust the amount to your liking… this amount is good for 2 people! a little goes a long way..
Sometimes I like to add a bit of Mint from my garden for a little variety!
Pour it in the salad bowl and mix it and toss it before dishing it up on your plate and enjoy!
