Today I wanted to share with you my secrets to a healthy, beautiful and Glowing skin 🙂 I used to have pretty dull skin… for a couple of years, in fact anyone who saw me said I looked ” tired” or “sick” or stressed… and that always hurt my feelings, because I was non of those things! haha
sure I was sad sometimes… or some days I felt like I was tired but this was Every freakin day!!!
it wasn’t till I saw a picture of myself that I realized I really did look all of those things! and I think it really did affect my mood and overall mannerisms! and pretty much lowering my self esteem about myself…
I didn’t want to look that way obviously.. and I started researching and experimenting with things to do to achieve that healthy and Glow like look ( without makeup)
My main reason was that I was getting married and I didn’t want to Cake makeup on my face and I wanted people to see how happy I really was 🙂

now I get complements daily on my healthy glowing skin and I did on my wedding day as well 🙂 So I picked up some every day tips and tricks that I thought I should share with you all 🙂
HERE WE GO!
GET ENOUGH SLEEP
This is actually a big one… They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing! when you are sleeping your skin cells are renewing themselves and so you need to get enough sleep to let that happen! I aim for ATLEAST 8 hours of sleep a night, and Ultimately I am not stressed and stress can also cause breakouts and Dull skin.
SLEEP ON A CLEAN PILLOW CASE
This was actually a huge part of why my skin was breaking out!!! Its not like My pillow case wasn’t clean… but we just don’t realize how dirty our pillow cases can get… from the dust in the room to hair products that gets rubbed off on there!! try to have a clean pillowcase at all times or simply try to sleep on your back! ( this also helps you develop less wrinkles)
DRINK A LOT OF WATER
This is what brings the glow back to your skin… I always heard this one growing up.. but for some reason I honestly didn’t even THINK about it… I thought well.. yes! dehydration blah blah… but Water helps your body Function and do what it needs to do… and it is VERY important to drink at least 3 Liters of water daily… if you find it hard to do that you can drink it with Lemon,lemon water also detoxes our skin or you can Drink with a straw which for some reason makes it easier and you drink more water that way 🙂
WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE WASHING YOUR FACE
Pretty simple and obvious right?? we touch SO MANY things during the day.. Imagine Rubbing all those things on your face at the same time while ” cleaning it” well… funny how we don’t really think about this one.. I think mostly because we are in a hurry and it all cleaning anyway, who cares what order its in… well wrong… Try to create some sort of Routine for yourself so that you can make the time to clean your face properly 🙂
CLEAN YOUR MAKEUP BRUSHES
This is another DUH! moment! you have to make sure to clean your makeup brushes, they gather so much dust and old makeup on them and it adds on! leading to Breakout in your skin 😦
WASH & CLEAN YOUR FACE EVERY NIGHT & Apply Moisturizer
My Mom used to tell me to do this overnight.. luckily for her and for her persistence I actually have been applying moisturizer on my face daily and night since I was 16 years old, but when I get stressed out and tired that is THE LAST THING I want to do.. I would suggest doing this around 8:00pm every night… just create a little ritual and stick to it.. your skin will LOVE YOU!
Alright this one just helped my over all mood!!! and Exercise Increases Blood circulation and releases endorphins which just makes you happy!!! again gets rid of Stress and helps with controlling breakouts! so find something you love to do… biking, hiking or just plain a sport… move for atleast 30min-1 hour daily and sweat 🙂 ( make sure to shower after sweating to avoid breakouts)
EAT WHOLE FOODS
Last but Certainly not least.. eat whole foods.. You are what you eat and you need to eat your fruits and veggies! stop eating processed food and junk food, that stuff will not only makes you gain weight it actually affects your skin… I started introducing more and more Fruits and Veggies into my diet before my wedding and not only did I FEEL better I just looked more alive! I post daily smoothies on my Blog as well as Low fat and healthy meals that get you a rainbow of nutrition for a healthy skin and body 🙂
