I know there are so many beauty secrets and hacks out there, these are just a few tricks I have picked up along the way either from Youtube, other people or other Blogs and I wanted to share them with you 🙂 after all you might never have heard of them and they might just BLOW you away!
I am focusing on the vegan friendly and mostly Natural Hacks in this blog as well 😀
here we go!
- Dry your Nails Faster!
I hate it when I paint my nails and have to wait for them to dry.. I mean I have things to do I can’t wait around for 15 minutes and my hands in the air!
Solution: prepare a bowl of ice water before painting your nails, when you are done painting.. place your finger tips in the bowl of ice water for 1 minute! your nails will be dry when you take them out 😀
2. Dry and Clumpy Mascara.
I don’t know about you guys but I feel like my Mascaras get way too clumpy way too fast… I mean I know I am not supposed to expose them to air for too long or pump them or swirl them and try to clean them… but damn it I am not perfect and I am in a hurry sometimes… OK?
Solution: Boil some water and pour it into a small bowl, then place your mascara tube in the water ( not the whole thing, leave the head our of the water, just the bottom half should be in water) leave it in for 2-3 minutes… when you take it out your mascara will be creamier and clump free! YAY!!!!!!
Another solution would be to add 1-2 eye drops or contact lense solution in your mascara and swirl it around, this will also make it clump free 🙂
3. Running out of makeup remover.
I actually ran out of makeup remover about a year ago and ever since I tried this… I have not invested in buying a makeup removing product ever since ( especially because there are so many toxins and chemicals in there that can damage your face) so how do I clean my face at night?
Solution: Olive oil… yes, I take a cotton ball and dip it in some olive oil and not only does it take off my face makeup, it takes off my mascara and it softens my skin ( you will not break out from olive oil) its cheap and chances are you already have it in the house so… use it 🙂
4. Oily Hair problems
alright… so lets just get this our there… I don’t wash my hair everyday.. or every other day… I actually try to wash it once a week but I end up washing it twice a week sometimes… mostly because when you wash your hair too much it strips your hair of the essential oils and dries it out.. I already have color in my hair and I don’t want to dry it out or lighten the color too much… AND well.. I don’t want to go through the process of styling my long hair all over again… it can get exhausting… and before you get all disgusted.. the less you wash your hair the less oily it gets over time 🙂 so I am not a grease monkey I promise… 🙂
Solution: for those times that you DO have oily hair and don’t have time to do it all over again, just Blow dry your roots with cool air… and for some reason this will make your roots look fresh and a lot less greasy… ITS THAT SIMPLE!
if you feel like your hair is still greasy… apply some dry shampoo to your roots and brush through while blowing the cold air on your scalp… your hair will look fresh and clean 🙂
5. Drying your Hair and fly aways!
alright so… During the winter months especially I have extra fly aways and a lot of static in my hair… and it is probably the most annoying thing in the world… I am sure you know what I am talking about…
Alright well.. I don’t have 500,ooo Volts gong through my body but thats what my hair feels like 😉
Solution : after getting out of the shower, Dry your hair with a teeshirt instead of a towel…. why? because the teeshirt is softer on your hair does not damage it and it actually has more absorbing power! Wrap your hair into a teeshirt and it will actually dry faster as well 🙂
