It is time to share with you guys my ultimate 8 Vegan lifestyle hacks! I wish that someone had told me these things the first day I went Vegan!
Take B12 Every Day
B12 is fortified for meat eaters and dairy consumers but as a Vegan you are not going to be getting B12 from fruits and Vegetables, so you need to be taking a B12 supplement daily.
This is the B12 that I take, its a spray, I just hate taking pills and I find this to be the fastest and easiest!
around 40% of Americans are B12 deficient and only around 1% are Vegan/vegetarian, so really Everyone needs to be taking a B12 supplement.
What to eat?
As a Vegan you are going to be avoiding Meat and dairy products, but try not to focus on what you can’t eat and all the things that you can eat on this amazing lifestyle. There are so many great resources now for Vegan recipes and substitutes, its never been easier to become vegan.
I have so many Vegan recipes on my BLOG, feel free to BROWSE and find things that you like, there are also so many Vegan Youtube Channels with thousands of recipes, here ar some of my favorites:
Where to eat?
No… your social life is not over just because you went Vegan! Vegan restaurants are popping up everywhere and you’ll be amazed how accommodating restutants can be when you let them know about your dietary needs.
but in case you want to plan ahead I suggest you download and use one of these APPS.
- Happy Cow ($3.99)
- Foursquare (free)
You will be able to see what Vegan restaurants are around or which restaurants around you offer Vegan options and read the reviews on what to order!
also here is a blog I wrote on my favorite VEGAN APPS so check it out.
Where to find Vegan & Cruelty-free Beauty products.
It’s becoming easier and easier to find Cruelty-free products these days! the companies usually list whether they are Cruelty-free on their site and if you are ever in doubt check out Logical Harmony’s Cruelty-free Brand List.
I love shopping at iHerb its an online retailer that sells products that contribute to a healthy lifestyle, You can keyword search cruelty-free and Vegan and all the beauty products that are Vegan will pop up!
If you like subscription boxes, VEGAN CUTS is a really great vegan and cruelty-free Box, delivered monthly and such a great way to be introduced to new Cruelty-free and Vegan products.
Also check out my Cruelty-free reviews page for some great beauty and lifestyle products that are cruelty-free and vegan.
Where to find Vegan & Ethical Clothing.
There are so many Vegan and Ethical online shops out there right now.
You can watch the film : The True Cost Movie: truecostmovie.com to learn more about ethical fashion, I highly recommend it.
A popular site that sells Trendy Vegan clothing is LULUS.com If you keyword search Vegan on their site you will find Vegan leather shoes, purses and bags.
A Site that I love to visit for Vegan and Ethical clothing or anything pretty much is: http://avag.co
You can pretty much find anything on there! I love it 🙂
What to do with your old non Vegan clothing.
This is kind of a hard one… once you find out the clothing you already own is not Vegan or ethical you probably are not as excited to wear it!
I know that I had a lot of leather purses and even a leather jacket. My suggestion would be to either give away the products to someone who will appreciate them, or Sell them on your favorite APP like postmark or etc. You can alway Donate the money to your favorite animal charity in the end.
A site that I used this past month to sell some of my non-vegan items was:
Thredup is basically an online thrift store, You basically order a bag form their site and fill it with all the clothing that you don’t want and send it back ( you don’t have to pay for shipping, it will be deducted from however much they buy the items for)
you wait for them to process your clothes and they send you an email with how much they are buying your clothes for!!
You can cash out, spend it at the Thrift store or donate the money to charity!!! its a win win win situation!
Educate yourself on Nutrition and Animal suffering.
I have come across so many non vegans who try their hardest to prove that we NEED meat to survive, this is simply not a fact, it is great to know how to present facts and create a scientific argument with anyone who is doubting your lifestyle.
so please educate yourselves on nutrition, environment issues and Animal suffering so that you can educate others on these matters along your way.
here are some of the films you can recommend to others or if you haven’t watched already I highly recommend you watch all of these.

Find a Vegan community meetup.com
I find that being around a community of Vegans makes life so much easier, not everyone has a family that supports them or friends that understand what they are going though.
Meetup.com is a great way to find vegan meet ups, communities or other events around you!
Don’t be the angry and preachy Vegan.
When i first went Vegan I was so angry at everything and everyone… just knowing what we do to the animals, the environment and to our own bodies can be over whelming. the truth is though that no one wants to be around an Angry vegan, you can not effect change by being preachy and angry…
take a deep breath and remember that you were once NOT VEGAN and try to remember how that felt, you can still educate and plant the seed in others by simply directing them to the documents listed above or showing them how amazing the plant.based lifestyle can be.
