Yoga with Adriene.

I wanted to do a Blog post on something I have been doing every single day for the past 2 months 🙂

YOGA!

when I was younger, I didn’t really care for Yoga too much.. I thought it was too slow and boring and just …meh… but I don’t know how… or why, at the beginning of February I kinda really got into it!!

mostly cause I was doing some heavy weight lifting and felt the need to stretch more and have leaner longer muscles! so I searched Youtube and tried a couple of different yoga tutorials and came across Yoga with Adriene  and instantly fell in love with her personality and approach to Yoga!

Adriene focuses on finding “What feels good” and has a very calm and at the same time silly presence which to me is a great combination and perfect for being less intimidating when approaching an incredibly intimidating practice like Yoga. I Practiced the Yoga Camp challenge she had on her channel every day in February ( she had it up for January but.. I didn’t know about her then) and been loving it since then!

what I have noticed about myself since doing Yoga, is that I am a lot more calm and confidant! that might seem weird to say… but I think Yoga really does go hand in hand with the Vegan lifestyle…they have the same effect on your body and your soul! I know for me, its sometimes too much to think about the pain and suffering animals go through and I get so angry at people who ignore this by continuing their lifestyle! Yoga has helped me focus more on myself, and focus that energy to create change… not to say I am going to stop trying to educate others, but I feel more centered and confidant and I think people can pick up on that energy! 

I have been less moody, I feel stronger, I am doing poses that i never thought I would be able to do after only 2 months!!! I am not doing hand stands or anything like that yet.. but still for me I feel like some poses were impossible! overall I am just a lot more at peace with myself  most of the time… and I feel great when I do yoga and afterwards! 

I really recommend you guys get into a regular Yoga practice, do Adriene’s Yoga Camp or 30 day yoga challenge and just see how you feel!!! you have nothing to lose, its free and its important to take some time for yourself and heal!

as a disclaimer… NO… Adriene didn’t ask me to write this, she doesn’t even know I exist!! haha… this is just my way of thanking her for all her hard work and for introducing me to the practice of Yoga 🙂
