Hi Everyone!
My second post for Top 5 Monday!!!! I wanted to share the Vegan apps that I use most frequently, these Apps make my life easier when I am traveling or when I just don’t know what the hell I am doing…
so here we go!
- HappyCow ($2.99)
Every time someone says, lets go eat I whip this APP out… It is a great vegan and vegan friendly restaurant guide, developed by happycow.net. It has an interactive map that uses your location and tells you where the local vegan places around you are! it even tells you if they are open or closed!!! I love this App especially when I go to a new City! its awesome!
2. VeganXpress ($1.99)
This is A great App for those times when you are desperate to find something to eat and all you have around you are Big Chain restaurants or fast food places…. or your friends really wanted to go to a restaurant and you have no choice… this App lets you know what Vegan options that restaurants offer…if any, so you can relax before going there or if you worry about asking too many questions…
Basically it is a convenient database of the vegan options at many popular fast-food and chain restaurants around the country.
3. Animal-Free (Free)
This is an Awesome App.. which I pretty much use everyday… in fact I use it as a resource for some of the Blogs I write… to make sure there are no hidden animal products in the makeup or products I write about… you should get it.. its free and you will learn SO MUCH…
Its built-in barcode scanner allows users to check products for undesirables, and those without a camera can check using product names or specific components.
4. Cruelty-Free (Free)
Another Great App, that I use to see if the Companies I am writing about are certified Cruelty-free or vegan and vegetarian friendly… You can search for makeup, household items and personal care items on there..
Companies in the USA and Canada that do not test ingredients, formulas, or finished products on animals are necessary to this type of lifestyle. Direct links to company websites are provided. The app is universal
5. Locavore ( Free)
This one I have not seen so much on people’s Vegan APP lists.. but I use it all the time to find where the farmer’s markets around are!!! some people say it works better on their iPads than the iPhones, but I have never had a problem…
Lacavore, it is a free iPhone app that makes use of GPS location to locate farmers as well as farmer markets in your surroundings. This app helps in learning about the food and who is providing it. Also, you can find recipes to use in-season, local ingredients. You can even post what you cooked and ate through Facebook.
There you go Guys, I hope you found this Blog useful.. please give me a thumbs up if you do and share 🙂
as Always YOU’RE WELCOME! and I will see u tomorrow!
Love & Peace

Happy Cow is by far my favorite vegan iPhone app. I also use Is it Vegan? to figure out which products are vegan. I’ll definitely be trying some of the ones listed here.
